John Mayer - Music Monday

For Music Monday this week I chose a song by John Mayer. I love everything he sings but this song, though it was never a hit, is my favorite. The first few times I heard it, I cried like a baby. My parents are 60 and 59 and I'm slowly having to come to the realization that we are all, unfortunately, mortal.

There is one line, in particular, when he says, "Once in awhile, when it's good
It'll feel like it should, And they're all still around, And you're still safe and sound, And you don't miss a thing, Till you cry when you're driving away in the dark," that when I heard it, I thought he must have infiltrated my thoughts to get it.
