Due to the lovely ice storm that hit our area on Tuesday, I have been without power, phone or internet for days. Please don't think that I've abandoned my blogs. I will be up and posting again as soon as things get back to normal, which unfortunately, may be days, even up to two weeks.
In the meantime, I'm living like Laura Ingalls, reading by candlelight, heating and cooking by a Buck Stove, it's all very primitive and quite horrible, to be perfectly honest. Fortunately I can get out, go shopping and visit people, problem is, almost everyone has someone staying with them since so many are without power and the low was 17 degrees just two nights ago.
We'll be fine. Just don't forget me! Here's what my world looks like right now:
When your kids are little your biggest concerns are things like them walking in front of a swing at the playground, or making sure they eat their veggies. It's an entirely different set of worries as they get older though, especially if you have a child that struggles in school. Will they be able to get into college? If not, what type of work can they do? What do you do when you child just doesn't get it? Some kids have a hard a time with just one subject, some learn differently from others and some don't test well.
I was a very good student, but even so, I'm not a great teacher, not to mention that today's subject matter seems infinitely harder than when I was in school. It's nice to know that there is a place to turn to for help.
"Club Z! Tutoring Services is the world's largest one-on-one tutoring program." They provide one-on-one, individualized instruction for all ages, in all core subjects, and in assessment testing such as the ACT, SAT Test Prep, and even the GED. Their instructors are state certified or degreed and their rates are affordable.
Don't let your child get left behind. Club Z! is a great way to get him or her the assistance they need to succeed.
A mother from Southern California gave birth to eight babies on Monday. This is only the second set of live-born octuplets in the world! There are 6 boys and 2 girls and they weigh between 1 pound, 8 ounces and 3 pounds, 4 ounces. Even though it's still to early to say they are all in the clear, they do seem to be doing well, and even the smallest is no longer on a ventilator.
The parents knew they were going to have 7 babies, but surprise! There was another baby that was missed.
I think that it's great that two people that wanted to have a baby were blessed with not one but multiples, but being a mother one just one child, I seriously can't even fathom what it would be like to have eight.
How do you diaper, feed, and clothe that many, much less attend to all their emotional needs? I know there are many large families, and I applaud those who can care for them. I'm sure these siblings will have so much love for one another and a bond that the rest of us can't understand.
But for me personally, I'm happy with my solitary child. Trying to get him a car and a scholarship are stressful enough, I can't imagine doing it times 8!
I have a website for my business and I've pretty well figured out how to get people to the site, what I'm having a problem with is conversion rate optimization. In other words, getting them to take action once they are there.
I love the site and believe that if I was the one visiting, I would want more information. Too bad I'm not my own customer!
If you want to see it and judge for yourself it's at www.RunAHomeCandleBiz.com. And, if you have any suggestions, please feel free to let me know!
I watched You, Me & Dupree again Friday night and this song was played at the pivotal point in it. I had forgotten about this one, but it's one of my favorite Coldplay tunes. (Although I love just about all of them.)
Coldplay - Fix You lyrics
When you try your best, but you don't succeed When you get what you want, but not what you need When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep Stuck in reverse
And the tears come streaming down your face When you lose something you can't replace When you love someone but it goes to waste Could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home, And ignite your bones, And I will try to fix you,
High up above or down below When you're too in love to let it go But if you never try you'll never know Just what you're worth
Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones And I will try to fix you
Tears stream down your face When you lose something you cannot replace Tears stream down your face And I
Tears stream down your face I promise you I will learn from my mistakes Tears stream down your face And I
Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones And I will try to fix you

For my brother's graduation my sister had a friend help her make a scrapbook for him. Then I found out that this friend has a blog. She loves to scrapbook and even makes custom scrapbooks to order. So, I thought I'd give a shout-out to Jacque and show you how talented she is!
Here is the scrapbook she made for my brother:
You can visit her blog at www.Jacque4U2C.blogspot.com to see more of her wonderful creations. And, if you need personalized baby gifts, graduation gifts, anniversary gifts, whatever the occasion, she'd love to make you one of her wonderful creations!
I learned two separate tips that involved chewing gum this week and thought they were interesting enough to share. So next time you're buying your kids a pack of Bubble Yum, grab a pack of Extra for yourself.
If you watched The Biggest Loser last week you might have noticed a little tip that Bob gave to one of the teams. They had asked what to do in the middle of the day, when you go through that lull and you have cravings for something sweet. Bob suggested that they chew a piece of gum. He said that chewing gum has been shown to control your appetite and curb hunger. (Not nearly as satisfying as a cheeseburger, but worth a try I guess!)
To head off a bout of acid reflux, pop a small piece of gum immediately after eating. Chewing increases the flow of saliva in your mouth and throat, washing heartburn-causing stomach acids out of your esophagus.
I'd heard for a while that you could use our Bella Bar Gourmet Soaps for more than just bathing. I was already using them to shave with, but even though I'd heard that they could be used instead of shampoo, I really didn't think it would work on my hair.
However, some of the women, on a forum I visited, mentioned how they were using them instead of shampoo and liked the results, so I gave it a try. For all my sketptism, it did a great job! I couldn't believe how well it lathered and my dry scalp seems much less flaky today. I still used my regular conditioner, but think how convenient this will be when we go out of town. No more bottles of shampoo to carry along, just one little bar.
If you'd like a sample, contact me through the 'Contact' button in the link bar above. And, remember, we also have one of the best candles in the world, they burn clean (no black soot) and are strongly scented, all the way through, down through the last burn. Unfortunately, we no longer carry pillar candles but there are some great new things on the horizon. Announcements will be made at our conference in March. Look for updates on this blog!

What will you do when your hard drive crashes? My PC is getting so old. Every time I use Word or Excel it locks up. I have a new laptop, and that's what I mainly use, but yesterday my hubby needed an old quote he had sent to a client and Word just wouldn't cooperate.
Thank goodness I remembered that I had backed up that entire computer on our external hard drive. (It's the same as the one pictured here.) I just hooked that baby up to my laptop and searched for the document like I would have on the PC that it was originally put on, and viola, there it was.
My only problem now is that this laptop only came with a 60 day trial of Microsoft Office 2007. I have the 2003 version that I could install on here, but I'm afraid it will mess up this computer. For one thing, this computer has Vista instead of XP, not sure if that matters or not, but it's something else that concerns me. If you know whether or not it would be OK for me to install the older version on here, I'd appreciate your input. There's only a few weeks left until my trial runs out...
Your business needs a blog, and I can customize one to your needs!
I happened to stumble upon some work for myself, and the good news is, it's something I love!
Earlier this week, a friend, who is involved in several different business ventures, asked me if I'd customize her blog for her. She was using Blogger and wanted it to look more business-like so she could link to it from her main business website. She pretty much gave me free-reign over it. I knew about the product, which made it a little easier. So, after looking at many photos at Dreamstime.com I found one I thought would be perfect and was able to use it to make a custom header. I also installed a new template, removed the navigation bar, created a custom favicon for her site, and played with the fonts and colors until I came up with something that I was happy with. You can see the finished product at http://enivavibeinsider.blogspot.com/, or in the screenshot below:
Now, what's even more exciting, is that my friend referred one of her teammates to me and this morning she became my first real client! I did basically the same layout, but it looks very different because of the customized header and colors. You can see it at http://childrensvitaminsreview.blogspot.com/, or in the screenshot below:
If you have a business, you need a blog. BusinessWeek had this to say about business blogs three years ago,
"Go ahead and bellyache about blogs. But you cannot afford to close your eyes to them, because they're simply the most explosive outbreak in the information world since the Internet itself. And they're going to shake up just about every business -- including yours. It doesn't matter whether you're shipping paper clips, pork bellies, or videos of Britney in a bikini, blogs are a phenomenon that you cannot ignore, postpone, or delegate. Given the changes barreling down upon us, blogs are not a business elective. They're a prerequisite."
It's even more true today, except you have to add in other areas of social networking such as Twitter and Facebook.
If you would like me to make you a custom header, or customize your entire Blogger blog, please contact me by clicking on the 'Contact' button in the link bar above. My rates are very competitive since this is an entirely new pursuit for me and I still need to add to my portfolio.
I mentioned that I've been trying to eat healthier, workout and lose a few pounds. (Which I was very bad today!) When you're trying to gain muscle, protein is needed. But it's not just good for bodybuilders, whey protein also supplies the body with many essential needed amino acids, enhances your endurance and increases your immunity.
If you're looking for a great post-workout snack, smoothies or protien drinks made with ProEnergy Whey Protein Powder are a perfect choice. Because you only need to add water, and not fruit, to your whey protein shake, and because it's sweetened with Stevia, it will not affect your blood sugar. It's even fine for those who are lactose intolerant or have celiac disease.
I made a video, starring my son who is an aspiring actor, (lol!) to explain what benefits you'll receive when you make whey protein a part of your regular diet. I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it!
One of the outlet stores for a major online shoe store is just about 15 minutes from my home. I've gotten some awesome deals on name brand shoes there. I even lucked into two pairs of Keen shoes that normally run more than $70/pair, for just $10 each!
You never know what you'll find when you go here because the shoes are all returns. What's interesting though, is that as many pairs as I've found for myself, I've never found anything for my son. Why? Well, 3/4 of the store has women's shoes and in just the other 1/4 of the store, you'll find the men's and kid's. Which just goes to prove that Girls Love Shoes! ...And that when you buy shoes online, it can be hard to get the right fit.
ShopWiki has suggestions on how you can find the perfect fitting shoe and, even better, how to find the best deals. So, whether you only wear high heels (like my good friend who even wears heels to Nascar races and out boating) or prefer something more sensible like a loafer, here you'll find out what the best products are, and where you can get them.
Thanks Jacque! Now the rules say I'm supposed to list 5 of my addictions and then pass this on to 5 other Fabulous bloggers. So, here goes:
1. Blogging/Writing 2. TV (I watch way too much!) 3. Photography 4. Faith/Family/Friends 5. Herbal Teas (that's the addiction of the month, we'll see what it is next month. lol!)
I love so many blogs... I'll ponder over who to pass this on to and update it later... stay tuned!
I can't imagine what it would be like to lose an entire home to a fire. I just remembering more things that were in my Jeep when it burned to the ground.
Now this one isn't that costly, but oh-so-important, and not something I thought about until I needed it the other day. What is this item? My emergency Corkscrew! (wine opener)
So your thinking, 'you could have lost your life but your concerned about a wine opener?' Well, I wasn't... until I was at my dad's a few weeks ago. I had brought a bottle of wine with me, and he didn't have a cork screw. He's never been a wine drinker, or a beer drinker for that matter, he's a rum and coke kind of guy and so apparently he had no need for one.
Before my Jeep burned this wouldn't have been any big deal, I had my handy-dandy emergency corkscrew in my console. But now? Panic ensued. And not just by me. I had four other ladies that saw me bring that wine in that were standing there impatiently waiting.
Don't worry, we did end up finding something to open it with. We each had a glass, and the party ended well... And I went out and bought another corkscrew to keep in my new Jeep a few days later!
Too bad I had a home owner's claim just a couple years ago. I didn't feel I could make another claim without my home insurance premiums going up. Of course a corkscrew only costs about $10. But all totaled, I probably lost over $750 in property.
I read a post a few months ago, and unfortunately I can't remember what blog it was on, but the writer had just had her house broke into, for the third time in just a few months! She didn't live in a slum, she was in a middle income home, but the police told her that due to the bad economy, theft was on the rise.
Is this something that worries you? What price do you set on your personal safety and your possessions? Do you jump at every bump and noise you hear when you're home alone?
If you answered 'Yes' to any of the above questions, you may want to consider a home security system. ADT home monitoring systems are always there 24/7. Now you can be comfortable knowing that it's just your cat, not a burglar trying to get you. And if you're the type that has so many pass codes that you tend to forget them all, ADT has created a simple solution to keep disarm your alarm. It's SafePass. A simple wave of the SafePass tag in front of the alarm and you've found the low-cost solution to false alarms. Great for kids too!
Quit stressing about it! See what ADT has to offer.
I worked with a woman who really made these as a gag gift for a friend of hers. I'm dying to try it myself.
My Dear Friends,
This is somewhat embarrassing to admit, but due to the economic times we are living in, things are a little tight this year. But, don't worry, I will still be giving you a gift for any special occassion you may have. My gift is homemade, and comes from my heart.
I will be making bedroom slippers for you all as gifts.
Please let me know your sizes.
These slippers are:
* Soft and Hygienic
* Non-slip grip strips on the soles
* Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh
* No more bending over to mop up spills
* Disposable and biodegradable
* Environmentally safe
* Three convenient sizes: (1.) Regular, (2.) Light and (3.) Get out the Sand Bags.
I've attached a photo of the first pair I made so that you can see the nifty slippers for yourself....
Awaiting your response. It's crucial that I get the right size for each one of you.
I love taking photos. I even have a photo blog where I display my favorites. At home I had a digital frame, until it died a few months ago. My hubby knew how much it meant to me, so he surprised me with a new one. I was very grateful, however I asked if I could take it back and exchange it for a different one. Why? Well, in my research of the frames I knew there were a few features I wanted that this one didn't have.
The most important feature to me was the resolution. When the resolution is bad, your pictures look blurry. I work too hard to get a great photo to have them look awful. I also wanted it to be easy to use, to be able to hold multiple digital cards and formats and I wanted to be able to hook it up to my computer.
A great option, if you are in the market for a Digital Photo Frame, are the frames designed by Ceiva. Their frames have a 8-inch LCD screen and high resolutions, but what makes these frames unique is that you can receive photos from anyone, and you don't even need an internet connection! With Ceiva's Picture Plan, freinds and family can send photos directly to your frame without you having to do a thing.
Think how great that would be for a grandparent living in another state, or a college student living away from home. Now you don't have to miss a thing. You'll automatically feel a part of the lives of your loved ones, even if they are miles away.
Running a little late with Music Monday today... but here it is.
Honestly, I'm not a huge Tracy Lawrence fan, but I love the lyrics of this song. Isn't it the truth? When times are tough, that's when you find out who your TRUE friends are! This song is dedicated to my friends that have been there for me, in a robe when my Jeep caught fire, on the other side of town when I was in so much pain I couldn't drive, when my son was sick or I had a problem I couldn't make a decision on... you know who you are!

My son loved his first building toys. The extra large Mega Bloks pieces were given to him as a hand-me-down from my brother. They were perfect for him when he was little. My hubby and son would spend hours building castles and basketball goals and whatever their imagination could think up. And then when he outgrew them I passed them on to my nephew, who still has them. (Don't you wish kids clothes lasted as long?)
Times have changed, and in order to keep up with them, Mega has designed a new online virtual universe where kids can play and build and share their creations with the universe.
I love games, so I ventured over to their site today and played for a while. My favorite area was the Spheron Speed Challenge. (I was a sucker for this game since I love racing games.) It took me a couple tries to figure out what to do, (I'm sure a kid could figure it out quicker... they always do!) but once I got the hang of it, I didn't want to quit. (Great, another addiction to add to my list!) You can also customize your Sphere and build a roller coaster, and even challenge others.
I thought the MagNext Virtual Game Site was a great kids site. I'm sure it would entertain even the busiest of kids. I can't wait to show it to my nephew. He loves 'playing computer,' and he loves cars... this is sure to be something we'll have to drag him away from. lol! And, if you're like me and you worry about the sites your kids visit on the Net, this is one you can feel comfortable about sending them to. It's safe and the activities are harmless and fun.
When my son has his friends over, if I don't set a time for them to go to sleep, they will stay up all night. Not necessarily my son, he does like his sleep, but his friends don't seem to care. However, they apparently need to.
The amount of sleep that your teen gets, corresponds to their risk for heart disease. According to a new study from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, teens who get less than 6.5 hours of sleep a night are more than twice as likely to have high blood pressure.
Solution? "An hour before your child should hit the sack, have him/her shut down all electronics and turn off bright overhead lights," says Susan Redline, M.D., professor of medicine and pediatric at the university and senior author of the study.
Have you resolved to lose some weight or get in better shape this year? What are you doing to reach your goals?
I think I may finally be back on track. You can read what my goals are over at my health blog, www.VibrantHealthyU.com.
Even today, while on vacation, I managed to not eat as much junk as I usually allow myself on vacation, and I walked for 25 minutes... up the side of a mountain! I'm also substituting lower calorie (and healthier) snacks for the calorie-laden, sugar-filled ones I had been eating. Hot tea has replaced my glass of wine in the evenings, almonds and popcorn are great for popping into your mouth when you have the munchies, a fruit smoothie is working when I have a sweet tooth, and if I just HAVE to have some chocolate, I either eat a piece of dark chocolate, or a sugar-free Jello pudding.
I know the way to lose weight and unfortunately there is no magic pill. Weight loss supplements aren't for me either. But by cutting back and eating healthier, along with burning more calories, I can hopefully get to the weight I'm comfortable with again.
Where do you shop for gift cards? I never think about getting one until I'm on the way somewhere and need one, or weeks after I should have sent one out.
The latest one I purchased at Wal-Mart, I grabbed it on the way to my brother's graduation party. It said it was made from recycled fabric and when you opened it up it had a brown stain in the crack and said something to the effect that they got most of the stains out.
It was really funny, but was actually supposed to be a birthday card. I marked that out and changed it to 'Congratulations'. Perhaps though, I should shop somewhere that has more to choose from. Would a Hallmark store be a better choice? Where do you get your cards?
Did you know that January is National Tea Month? I didn't even know we had a National Tea Month, but apparently it's true! ...Are you excited?
Actually, I'm on a tea kick right now. A nice hot cup of herbal tea with honey before bed is so relaxing, and I have a new favorite tea I'm in love with! I was sent a few samples in the mail and forgot to write down the brand, but then when we went to breakfast last weekend, the hotel restaurant carried the Tazo brand. They let me take an extra tea bag, so I set out with it to find it at my local grocer. Wal-Mart was the first place I looked, and they had it! I purchased a sampler pack and have had three so far. --I've not been disappointed in any of them! Tazo teas are so wonderfully flavorful! They make these herbal infusions that have such wonderful flavors like cherimoya, passionfruit, cinnamon with liquorice, wild sweet orange, and more. In addition to the herbal teas they also have a variety of black and green teas, including a delightful Chai. Their teas have so much more flavor than many of the other tea brands I've tried.
And in honor of this special month, here are a few tips to brewing the perfect cup of tea:
Boiling water burns leaves, so heat your water between 185 and 190 degrees. (Little bubbles will be just starting to appear.)
Use one tea bag for 12 to 16 ounces of water.
Steep green tea for 3 minutes, oolong and black teas for 5 minutes, and herbal teas for 7 - any longer and it may get bitter.
If you take both lemon and sugar in tea, add sugar first since the lemon's acid will prevent it from dissolving.
OK, I'm going to tell you something, but you have to promise not to laugh...
Hubby and I still sleep on a waterbed!
You're laughing, aren't you?
Yes, I know, I'm one of ten people on the planet that hasn't gotten a real bed, but I LOVE my waterbed!
Now, if you are picturing the 80's bookcase headboard and rainbow comforter, you'd be wrong. I did have that at one time, but my dear hubby had a custom headboard and footboard made for it a couple years ago, as a gift to me. And once I have the blue down comforter and pillows in blue, brown, and gold on it, you can't even tell it's a waterbed.
I find, in a regular mattress bed that my limbs tend to go numb, but not in my waterbed. Plus, it's heated! What could be better than that on a cold winter night? The only thing I've found close are the beds at the Marriott. With plush mattresses and down comforters, they are pretty good. But I still prefer my own bed. And have driven home more than two hours, after midnight, to be in my own bed rather than sleep somewhere else.
If though you don't love your bed as much as I do, maybe it's time for something new? Time4Sleep.com has a large selection of beautiful beds, memory foam mattresses and other bedroom furniture.
I'm sure you won't find a great waterbed, like mine. *sarcasm* But there might be something you like.
I'm heartbroken! A friend told me that Lipstick Jungle has been cancelled. So, I did a little research, and though it hasn't been confirmed by NBC, they've also not ordered new episodes. So, it's probably getting the ax.
Lipstick Jungle is in my top 3 favorite shows this year. I've even done a few recaps on this blog of some of the episodes. With it gone, how will I ever know if Nico has a baby, or if Shane cheats on Wendy while on tour for four months? And I'll never get to see Victory and Joe's wedding, which I'm sure would be spectacular. Not to mention seeing the actresses great hair and makeup! I've even changed the way I do my eye-makeup to make it look like Nico's.
I've read that fans are irate and mailing in tubes of lipstick to NBC to make a point. But if the viewership isn't there, what's to be done?
I guess they'll just add a new reality or crime program. So much for well written dramas.
With the economy in the state it's in, many more people are staying put instead of moving. If you're not going to get something new, you will eventually want to do some remodeling. Architectural details add value to a home and so, not only will you have something that feels new now, you'll have an easier time selling your home in the future should you decided to do so.
I may have mentioned before that I'm at the house we are in for life. We live on family property that my husband absolutely loves. So, we've done some remodeling and will be doing more in the near future.
We have a great architectural consignment store about a half hour from us, but we don't always have the time to go there, and being a consignment store, they don't always have what we're looking for. InvitingHome.com carries a wide range of architectural products, shipped right to my door!
One thing I'm looking for, in particular, are new pull handles for my cabinets. When we had our concrete countertop installed, the friend that installed it, thought I might regret not getting new cabinets because once the countertop is on there, the cabinets aren't going anywhere. However, I decided there was no need. They are still in good shape, just looking a little dated. Decorative hardware, like the door pulls in the photo below, can totally change the look of an existing cabinet or piece of furniture.
InvitingHome.com carries such a wide selection of those hard-to-find items. There's everything from from the decorative hardware, to Corbels, to shutters, to wood columns, ceiling medallions and more... those small things that will add so much to your home.
This may seem like a silly thing to get excited about, but I just love the Hercules Hooks I recently purchased!
Surely you've seen the commercials with Billy Mays screaming at you that they are the, "fastest and easiest way to hang just about anything!" They will supposedly hold up to 150lbs. and only put a hole a very small hole in your wall - barely noticeable if they are removed.
Well, I fell for the sales pitch, and when I needed to hang something heavy in drywall a few months ago, I grabbed a pack of them at our local Wal-Mart.
Guess what? They really do work!
I mentioned in a previous post that I was looking at decorative wine racks. Well, I found one at T.J. Maxx for just $14.99! I love it! It looks like a work of metal art and holds 4 bottles of wine. (see photo below of it.)
With 4 bottles of wine on it, I'd say it weighs at least 10 - 20 lbs. And one Hercules Hook is all it took!
They are so easy to use too! The tips are pointed so you just push them in, rotate them, push the rest of the way, and viola! You're done.
...Now to try another "As Seen On TV Item." I'm dying to see if the leather repair kit works on the two cuts I have in my Jeep upholstery!
I mentioned a few weeks ago that my brother received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Well, Saturday we had his graduation party. We had a blast! My dad loves to cater affairs so he supplied all the food -- and boy was there a ton of it! He had pulled pork, chicken wings, bratwurst, a spiral ham, chilled shrimp, meatballs in marinara sauce, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, and more! It was a spread fit for a king!
We had Rock Band set up on my dad's 65-inch TV and everyone had a blast playing it. It really made the party a lot of fun. I sang a few times and tried the drums, but let me just say, I won't be running away with a band anytime in the near future.
I gave my brother some cash, (he doesn't have job... yet!) but I wanted to get him something to remember me by too, something a little more personal. So, I opted for a watch. It wasn't something real fancy and expensive, like Polar watches are, but it was a nice Timex.
My brother seemed pleased, even though Hubby didn't think it was a good gift. What do you think? Is a watch, and some money, a good graduation gift?
For Music Monday this week I chose a song by John Mayer. I love everything he sings but this song, though it was never a hit, is my favorite. The first few times I heard it, I cried like a baby. My parents are 60 and 59 and I'm slowly having to come to the realization that we are all, unfortunately, mortal.
There is one line, in particular, when he says, "Once in awhile, when it's good It'll feel like it should, And they're all still around, And you're still safe and sound, And you don't miss a thing, Till you cry when you're driving away in the dark," that when I heard it, I thought he must have infiltrated my thoughts to get it.
I've included the lyrics below the video. If you're getting older, and you're not familiar with this song, read through them and see how they make you feel.
No, I'm not colorblind I know the world is black and white Try to keep an open mind But I just can't sleep on this tonight
Stop this train I wanna get off And go home again I can't take the speed it's moving in I know I can't But honestly, won't someone stop this train?
Don't know how else to say it Don't want to see my parents go One generation's length away From fighting life out on my own
Stop this train I wanna get off And go home again I can't take the speed it's moving in I know I can't But honestly, won't someone stop this train?
So scared of getting older I'm only good at being young So I play the numbers game To find a way to say that life has just begun
Had a talk with my old man Said "help me understand" He said "turn sixty-eight You renegotiate"
"Don't stop this train Don't for a minute change the place you're in And don't think I couldn't ever understand I tried my hand John, honestly we'll never stop this train"
Once in awhile, when it's good It'll feel like it should And they're all still around And you're still safe and sound And you don't miss a thing Till you cry when you're driving away in the dark Singing
Stop this train I wanna get off And go home again I can't take the speed it's moving in I know I can Cause now I see I'll never stop this train

Scrappy had a coat that he absolutely hated. It was fleece, and when I would pull it out he would run, cowering, as far from me a possible. So, I'm not sure what possessed me to buy him this hoodie, other than the fact that I found it for 99¢.
The cool thing is, he actually doesn't mind this one! I'm thinking the material isn't as uncomfortable on his fur. With the other one, once I took it off, he'd roll around on the floor for 5 minutes trying to scratch, or fluff his fur, or whatever he was trying to accomplish. Well, whatever his crazy reasoning is, I'm glad he'll wear this one. And, isn't he a cutie in his hoodie?
I looked outside this morning and this is what I noticed:
No, the water is not dripping, that's an icicle.
Now, I'm no plumber... but this doesn't seem like a good thing. Aren't you supposed to disconnect the hose from the faucet before it freezes? It was 60 degrees just three days ago, I guess we should have considered that it IS winter, even if it didn't feel like it.
