Actually, it's not that new of a passion. It's photography, and if you've ever looked at my profile you may have seen that I have a photo blog. I think I have a decent eye for it... but the big problem has been equipment. I have a little Kodak point and shoot. (Z712) It does take good pictures considering what I paid for it, and it even has the capability to shoot in Aperture, Shutter or Manual. So, I've actually learned quite a bit from it. I taught myself by taking a photo in Auto and then I'd look at the settings the camera gave to it and then decide what I could do to improve on it. (I took the photo on the right with it yesterday morning on my way out the door to go clean.)
But, back before my point & shoot, (p&s) I had a Minolta 35mm that took great photos. Problem is, digital came along and I couldn't justify paying to develop pictures that may or may not be good. So, I switched to p&s. I've seriously been considering seeing if I could do senior or sports photography and when I mentioned it to hubby, he said he wanted me to try it!
Now, I'm not silly, I know I need practice, practice, practice... and reading, reading, reading, and probably a few courses... but, I realized not long ago that I've never had a job that I loved. Very few that I even liked. I would love this! And, the good thing is, I don't have to rush out and find the first Bride and Groom in full gown and tuxedos, I still have my part-time cleaning biz to make some money with until I can get
I've picked out my camera... the Canon Xsi and I know I want a 50mm lens...
I'm still researching what other two lenses and equipment I
